TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, participating in, attending, purchasing, donating to, or otherwise engaging with any program, event, training session, tournament, showcase, camp, clinic, or service offered by Unguardable Athletics or The Unguardables non profit, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not register for or participate in any event or program.


2. Eligibility

  • Participants must register using accurate and complete information.
  • Players under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian complete the registration and consent process.
  • The Unguardables reserves the right to refuse or revoke participation for any individual or team that violates these terms or engages in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate conduct.


3. Registration & Payment

Team Registration

  • U-League Sessions and showcase events require full payment before a team is officially placed on the event schedule.
  • Current advertised team fee: $150 per team.
  • Early registration discounts, when offered, apply only if payment is received by the stated deadline.

Training & Membership Programs

  • Monthly memberships, private training sessions, camps, clinics, and seasonal team programs must be paid according to the selected payment plan.
  • Failure to make payments may result in suspension from practices, games, training sessions, or events until the account is brought current.


4. Conduct Policy


All participants, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship and respect.


Prohibited Conduct


  • Fighting or physical aggression
  • Threats, intimidation, or harassment
  • Abusive language toward officials, staff, players, or spectators
  • Discriminatory or hateful conduct
  • Excessive unsportsmanlike behavior
  • Possession or use of illegal substances, alcohol, or weapons at youth events


Consequences


Unguardable Athletics may, at its sole discretion:


  • Remove individuals from the facility
  • Disqualify a player or team from an event
  • Suspend participation from future events or programs
  • Deny refunds following removal for misconduct

 


5. Media Release


By participating in any event or program, you grant The Unguardables and  Unguardable Athletics permission to photograph, record, livestream, and otherwise capture participants’ names, images, likenesses, voices, statistics, interviews, and game footage.


These materials may be used for:


  • YouTube broadcasts
  • Social media content
  • Promotional graphics and videos
  • Website content
  • Fundraising and marketing materials
  • Future event promotions


No compensation is owed for such use unless required by law.


6. Health & Safety


Participants acknowledge that basketball and athletic activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:


  • Sprains and strains
  • Fractures
  • Concussions
  • Illness
  • Permanent injury
  • Death


By participating, players and guardians voluntarily assume these risks and certify that the participant is physically able to engage in athletic activities.


The Unguardables strongly encourages all participants to maintain appropriate medical and accident insurance coverage.


7. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, The Unguardables and Unguardable Athletics, their directors, officers, coaches, volunteers, officials, sponsors, and facility partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in any program or event.


Participation is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.


8. Facility & Scheduling Changes


The organization reserves the right to:


  • Change event dates or times
  • Adjust divisions or brackets
  • Substitute facilities
  • Combine age groups when necessary
  • Reschedule games due to weather, emergencies, low enrollment, facility conflicts, or other operational concerns


Reasonable efforts will be made to notify registered teams and participants of any significant changes.


9. Intellectual Property


All logos, graphics, event names, schedules, promotional materials, videos, and website content associated with The Unguardables, Unguardable Athleticsare the property of the organization and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

 

10. Governing Law


These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these terms or participation in organization activities shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
